Carolynn McLaughlin is Registered Legal Executive and a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Legal Executives, which is the highest level of registration attainable. This means that Carolynn is authorised to witness donor signatures to enduring powers of attorney, witness statutory declarations under section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957, and she is a ‘trusted referee’ who may certify identity verification documents under the Amended Identity Verification Code of Practice 2013.
Carolynn has worked in the legal environment in New Zealand since she emigrated from the UK in 1996. She obtained the New Zealand Law Society Legal Executive certificate in 2008, joined Greg Kelly Law Limited in 2010, and became a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives in 2019.
Carolynn is primarily responsible for the firm’s estates files, and has extensive experience in drafting wills, enduring powers of attorney, and trust documents, with particular expertise in complex probate applications.
